I am a Professor and Head of the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Illinois Chicago. I received my Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University in 1997. While practicing in acute care and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, I began my doctoral work at the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University and received a PhD in physiology/physical therapy in 2001.
