What can i say? Grew up for a short while in Mexico, then moved to Chicago's colorful southside neighborhood of BYBA (back of the yards AND WHAT!?) Been stuck here ever since, even though i took a short vacation and was in the military for 5 years.
I have been very successful at my current job and have finally jumped back into the world of academia. Working full time and attending school full time is not easy, but it helps when you have a great supportive family, a boyfriend, and awesome friends. I'm powering through it, so watch out! Soon enough I too will have that little piece of paper on my wall that says B.S., B.A. or whatever other "B".
