Gut Biologist with 10 years of research experience working on "the Role of Commensal Gut Microbes in Health and Disease."
My research area include:
1.Molecular genotyping of gut bacteria in health and disease (Inflammatory bowel disease,Irritable Bowel Syndrome, infectious diarrhea, cancer).
2.Role of gut bacteria in energy harvesting, mineral absorption.
3.Role of bacterial metabolites in health(SCFA) and disease (hydrogen sulfide and free radicals).
4.Focus on development of newer probiotic strains and studies to validate their probiotic efficacy from traditional food.
My research involves human volunteers, animal models and In vitro cell cultures.
