As a user researcher, I've tried to understand the complex domains in which our users work through direct methods (interviews and observation at customer sites and industry-related events), as well as through proxy information (industry-related research papers, articles, and other media). I've also worked to translate this research into inputs that developers and designers can easily interpret and use.
