Expanding experiential learning via mobile & tech.

I engage UW-Madison faculty and instructional staff in developing active, personalized, and experiential learning. I draw on my doctoral research in sociocultural learning to develop mobile and collaborative tools for learning that leverage social networks and design-based andragogy. I also try to find to time to help run a deep woods camp in Maine. I'm skilled at pulling together diverse ideas to address general and specific issues. I'm rarely satisfied with the status quo, and will experiment simply to instigate discussion and further development. I'm bad at following directions.
