Graduated from National College of Arts in 1975. Worked from Ministry of Education till 1979 and then proceeded to Romania for higher studies leading to Ph.D.
Recieved fellowships of Dumbarton Oaks in 1995, Harvard University 1997-97, National Gallery of Art, Washington D.C 2000 and MIT 2008
