While I present as and was raised as white, genetic analysis shows I'm also part Sub-Saharan African and Middle Eastern. I'm proud of this ancestry and, while I enjoy the privilege granted those who present as white, I also commit to using my privilege to stand up for equality and freedom from oppression and prejudice for all humans.
