Richard is a researcher at George Mason University鈥檚 School of Conflict Analysis and Resolution - SCAR. He researches on gender, violence and conflict, societal disparities and its conflicting issues. He undertook a qualitative research project in Jogjakarta, Indonesia (summer, 2015) where he researched the child marriage phenomena.
As part of a team conducting research on inter-group relations and national identity in Brazil, Richard was in Sao Paulo, Salvador-Bahia, and Rio doing field work on that project. His team presented their findings to the general public at SCAR in the DC area last April.
