Why are we building MuseJam?
We believe India is at the verge of a revolutionary change in the arena of music. The presence of music distributed through films and CD’s is decreasing and people have started valuing the experience of live music. With over 50% of the population under the age of 25, increasing venues, growing western influence and quality live performers, the Indian live music community is turning into an industry and we believe can be explosive with the sheer numbers we have. However, the businesses in this small industry are fragmented and therefore have been inefficient. They have always lacked a platform that will unite them and promote live music.
