- 2. INTRODUCTION  Century Ply boards, incorporated in 1982, is well–known manufacturer of plywood and decorative veneers. The company was formed by Sajjan Bhajanka and Sanjay Aggarwal. The manufacturing facility of company is located at Bishnupur near Joka, Kolkata.  The company operates in five segments, namely plywood, laminates, ferro alloys and power, cement, and others. They manufacture plywood and market their plywood products under the brand name, Century Ply.  Century Ply boards is largest seller of plywood and decorative veneers in the Indian organized plywood market.  It became first company to received ISO 9002 certification for its quality management under veneer and plywood. In the year 2002, Century ply introduced Flex ply, the only flexible plywood variety.  Since inception the company has introduced various products such as boiling water resistant decorative veneer, seven–year powder proof guaranteed PF plywood, non–leachable fire safe plywood, architect ply and fantasy range of decorative veneer.

Products  Plywood– Century Ply is engaged in the manufacture of a wide range of plywood such as Architect, BWR Flexible Decorative, Marine Grade and MR Grade Commercial Ply, among others  Adhesives– It manufactures three types of adhesive such as Century ply Adhesive SH, Century ply DDL Binder and Century ply SR Adhesive for various surfaces.  The company also manufactures Laminates, Decorative veneers and Medium Density Fiber (MDF) Board

Conclusion ï‚ž As we can see in the five year cost structure that sale of the Century Ply boards (I) Ltd in 2014 is 1139.40 cr which is increased by 65% and its profit after tax for the same year is 165% which is increased only 65% which is good if we compare it from the last five year and in 2014, they beard profit is 15%.
