I grew up in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio; after graduating high school I attended the University of Wisconsin (Madison), Boston University and the University of Pittsburgh. I have a B.A., an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Anthropology.
I am married to Leslie, an incredibly intelligent, warm, funny, caring and in-all-ways fantastic woman who puts up with me (and I constantly ask myself "why?"). I have three grown sons--Adam, David and Daniel.
