Grew up in the South Bronx just a few blocks from the old Yankee Stadium, and even closer to the new one. So as you might guess, I'm a fan of the Yankees and the New York Football Giants (for those old enough to remember the baseball team of the same name). Attended public school and high school before commuting on the subway to the Polytechnic Institute in Brooklyn (now the Polytechnic Institute of New York University).
After getting my B.S. I went to work for Sperry Corporation, doing technical documentation on defense contracts. Gradually I moved more toward the marketing end of the business working on proposals, presentations, brochures and the like. Got married to my wife, Mary, in 1
