I love my family, my ancestors and am proud of my mixed heritage. I am proud of my Cherokee ancestors, My mixed white and Cherokee ancestors who braved the intimidation and prejudices of past society and gave me citizenship in the still imperfect but yet great and wonderful United States of America. I am as Cherokee as any Cherokee on the reservation and I Am AN AMERICAN.
