After graduating from HAC joined family company in December 1956.
Between 1956-1960 worked in most aspects of Haberfields from working in the factory processing milk and cheese manufacture to driving trucks picking up farm milk to delivering both retail and wholesale.
From 1960 to 1966 set up and operated bulk farm milk pick up, inter factory bulk milk sales.
Took over control of office in 1967 introducing new systems for both wholesale and retail accounting.
By 1970 the family partnership was changed to two private companies and became Secretary and Administration Director of both Haberfields Milk Pty. Ltd and Haberfields Dairy Pty Ltd.
