Mainstreaming organic products 15 years ago was a challenge for many marketing professionals. The challenge at that time was to produce the products, to be credible in its production system, and to sell the products where the market is willing to pay the price. In 5 years time, the industry had grown with people's organizations and individual advocates producing the organic products at a scale where 26 supermarkets in Metro Manila and major cities in the Philippines were selling it in their fresh section, with a certification body to establish the organic standards and certification.
