Sriram鈥檚 passion for books was serendipitous & led him to establish bookstores across India. He's best known as cofounder of Crossword, a pioneering modern retail venture. Walden in Hyderabad (1990) was his first entrepreneurial venture; he found his first calling at Landmark, Chennai (1988-89).
He co-founded Crossword with Ms. K. Anita in 1992 & helped build it into India鈥檚 leading bookstore chain. He arranged for the buyout of Crossword by the current owners Shoppers鈥� Stop Ltd. in 2000 from the initial investor India Book House Ltd.
