Like other countries, Bangladesh should also be trying to attract companies looking to shift out of China and use this as a viable opportunity to speed up growth in the post-COVID season. The Government of Bangladesh (GOB) is keen to seize this opportunity. However, without establishing a proper understanding of what it means to create appropriate supply chain capability in the country to attract foreign investors, it may only remain wishful thinking. You are a group of experts engaged as a part of the special task force by the GOB. Your job in the task force is to make an actionable proposal about building Supply Chain capability in Bangladesh to attract foreign manufacturing companies. Depending on your report GOB will decide in which industry/industries it should focus on to build further capabilities and attract foreign companies that will shift supply chains away from China after the current pandemic.
