Visualization of RNA 2D Structures - Structure/function relationships of H/ACA motifs: Analysis & Prediction /slideshow/visu2013-rna2-dfl/50274717 visu2013rna2dfl-150707204022-lva1-app6892
VISU2013: IBPC, Paris - November 6 Secondary structure diagrams are essential, in RNA biology, to critically assess the credibility of functional hypotheses, and communicate them visually as drafts or finalized publication-ready figures. While many tools are currently available to automate the production of such diagrams, their capacities are usually partial, making it difficult for a user to decide which tool to use in a given situation. We present major existing representations using available free tools (jViz.RNA, the PseudoViewer, RILogo, R-chie, RNAplot, R2R and VARNA) which may be used for the production of expressive publication- quality illustrations featuring the RNA secondary structure. We propose specific approaches to visualize the secondary structure in the presence of probing data, pseudoknots, RNA-RNA interactions and evolutionary data. Some of these approaches are illustrated for the analysis and prediction of the structure/function relationships of H/ACA motifs.]]>

My research interests include: RNomics (identification and characterization of non-coding RNA genes), computational enzymology (elucidate the catalysis by self-cleaving ribozymes), docking (model and predict RNA/protein interactions).
