O objetivo do presente estudo foi analisar em crian?as as assimetrias nos par?metros biomec?nicos da marcha ap¨®s a aquisi??o da mesma. Compararam-se dois grupos de crian?as de ambos os sexos com idades diferentes (G 1: 19 aos 26 meses; G 2: 28 aos 37 meses) durante a caminhada num tapete, para an¨¢lise das press?es plantares (Walkway System). Analisaram-se os par?metros: Pico da Press?o (P_max), ?rea de contato (Area), For?a Vertical M¨¢xima (FvtmaxPC), Tempo de apoio (T_apoio), Comprimento do passo (C_pass) e Largura do passo (L_pass). Para al¨¦m disso, o ¨ªndice de assimetria entre os membros foi calculado para todas as vari¨¢veis. Os resultados revelaram, no G 1 diferen?as estatisticamente significativas entre os p¨¦s no T_apoio e na FvtmaxPC; para o G 2 apenas se registaram diferen?as estatisticamente significativas no P_max. Relativamente ao ¨ªndice de assimetria observaram-se diferen?as estatisticamente significativas entre os grupos apenas nas vari¨¢veis Pmax e Fvt. As diferen?as observadas entre os dois membros inferiores sugerem uma organiza??o funcional natural, relacionadas com a contribui??o de cada membro no controle motor e na propuls?o.]]>

The incidence of DCD, ranging from 5% to 6% (American Psychiatric Association, 2013), is sufficient to rank it as one of the most common disorders amongst school-aged children. The main goal of this review is to present the current state of the evidence regarding several domains that have been studied about DCD, such as definition, prevalence estimates for the disorder, etiology and main motor control and cognitive deficits, as well as some instruments used to assess and identify the DCD.]]>
