Music Video
Planning
By Ryan Sue
Location Visit
There are two main locations that I have chosen to
film my music video in however it is hard to come up
with location in the local area that are good for
shooting a music video of the type that I want.
The two locations that I have chosen are, school and
Morden park.
School is primary location for filming.
Morden Park is second location for filming.
Health and Safety
There are many health and safety issues when working
off site so I have created a risk assessment sheet to
see how risky they actually are and how I could
prevent them from injuring or hurting themselves.
Music Video Research
• Lots of research went into finding the right music
video and I even made a video on the conventions
of a music video.
Props and Costumes
• Music video conventionally have lots of costume
changes throughout the music video even though
the videos are 3-5 minutes long.
• We was hoping to interpret the song by adding in
superhero costumes as well but it will look tacky.
• So what we are going to do is several different
costumes changes to give the videos a better
effect.
Shooting Schedule
• As I am filming off lesson timetable because the
actors in my music video have timetabled lessons
the same time as my media lessons.
• I will have longer sessions to film the music video
being of timetable because I will be doing it outside
of school time and not just in the 3 hour period I
would have had at school.
Budget
• I have done a lot of research into budgeting, and I
have found that it is much cheaper renting
equipment for 1 day at a time, the only problem is
that it costs a lot for the deposit on several of the
pieces of equipment.
• Deposit Cost = £500
• Renting cost = £330
Location Scouting
• I have scouted many locations to use for my music
video, these include:
- Morden Park
- My House
- School
