This design for an Ender's Game magazine cover features the space helmet worn by Ender in the film's posters and trailers. The blue and orange colors used in the trailer were incorporated to indicate the film's genre. The line art was created in Illustrator and colored in Photoshop using a dry brush style inspired by artist Evan Eckard, whose videos the designer has watched. This abstract style aims to attract the target audience with something different and eye-catching.

1. ENDERʼS GAME IDEA 1 - RATIONALE
This is my first idea for the Enderʼs Game magazine cover. The design is based
around the space suit helmet that Ender wears on the posters and trailers for the
film. I used the two complementing colours that appear in the trailer, blue and
orange. These colours, along with the presence of the helmet, show what genre the
film is. The line art was made in illustrator and the colour was added in photoshop.
The dry, rough brush strokes style was inspired by an artist named Evan Eckard. I
have been watching his videos on YouTube for a while and I am a fan of this
particular abstract style. I think that this style would go down well with the target
audience as the design is different and eye-catching. I combined tools and
techniques that iʼm comfortable with already with new techniques that I have
recently learned, like the pen tool in illustrator.
