An emoji enthusiast and researcher, who has co-authored several peer-reviewed emoji papers, given tutorials and invited talks on his work on emoji understanding. Co-edits the emoji special issue for ACM Transactions in Social Computing journal and co-organises the emoji understanding workshop series. As a part of his Ph.D. dissertation, he created EmojiNet, the 1st machine-readable emoji meaning dictionary and trained computer models to solve emoji similarity and emoji sense disambiguation problems.
