Currently, I am working towards completing the Data Science Specialization on Coursera. My computer science and mathematics background makes for a natural fit. Teaching mathematics courses at the local community college has been a great privilege. My goal for developmental learners was to deepen their appreciation for math's power and beauty. Student learning was enhanced by demonstrating the application of critical thinking to real-world problems. More advanced math classes such as calculus provided opportunities for application demonstrations, collaborations, and discussions.
