This document proposes design parameters to integrate flexibility into airport terminal design. It suggests a set of parameters and a framework to assess them based on selection criteria like volume of passengers and technological adaptability. The parameters are ranked on a 5-stage priority scale from high to low flexibility.

#3: After various layouts are generated the next step is to adopt suitable layout to ensure an appropriate level of flexibility.
Currently, there is no industry-accepted definition of flexible terminal design and no standardized set of design parameters exist
A set design parameters present here from in depth analysis of lit rev and case study analysis
which could be assessed under some selected design criteria to ensure an appropriate level of flexibility. The chosen design criteria are dynamic in nature; depending on each case, one criterion could be more important than others
The proposed parameters are considered as performance parameters, which will be used to measure a level of satisfaction achieved by the adopted layout in regards to functional requirements.
it is worth noting that the proposed technique of assigning relative weights for the selection criteria should not be regarded as an absolute measure rather should be considered as a rational way of tackling the ever changing nature of an airport terminal
#4: Each of the design parameters has its own functional merits to facilitate in achieving flexibility.
It should, however, be noted that all the proposed parameters may not be applicable to every terminal, and, on the hand, additional
parameters might be required in some cases to achieve flexibility
