Being an engineer is knowing how to make what you want out of what you have. The challenge is knowing what you want, but the job is often getting the guy with the money to know what he wants, and to convince him that you can build it.
I'm among the last of the baby-boomers, hippies and yippies, which were later yuppies and dinks; now I'm just middle aged and worrying about what my kids will become, just as my parents did with me ... and probably still do.
