My research efforts so far have yielded several novel Topoisomerase inhibitors & DNA- alkylating agents endowed with potent antitumor activity as evident from my publications. Some of my molecules discovered, exhibited significant cytotoxicity against human breast carcinoma, lung adenocarcinoma A549 and colon cancer HT-29 xenografts. Apart from this, I have been involved in the developing novel bifunctional alkylating agents, pyrrolo[1,2-b]isoquinoline derivatives, water soluble N-mustards derivatives, which showed that this agent can induce complete tumor remission or significant suppression in nude mice bearing human breast (MX-1) xenograft and ovarian (SK-OV-3) xenografts.
