Mass is a measure of the amount of matter in an object, which can be measured in grams using a scale. Volume is a measure of how much space an object takes up, which can be calculated using the length, width, and height or found through water displacement in a graduated cylinder. Both mass and volume are properties that can be measured to quantify the amount of matter in an object.
