Grew up biking and hiking in California by way of Los Angeles-San Diego-Half Moon Bay. Early 90's Colorado transplant. Open Heart Survivor, 14er climber, multiday backpacking, whitewater canoeing- ex-ultra marathon cyclist and former roadie with MTB tendencies in the early 80's. Proved to be too slow due to the heart so I sped the brain up a bit went back to Graduate School. Ended up in Michigan as a permanent tourist (postdoc).
