Landrake, Downderry, Woolwell and Millbrook
Woolwell is a suburb on the north-east
fringe of the city of Plymouth, England,
located just outside the city¡¯s boundaries in
the district of the South Hams. It is situated
along the A386, close to the boundary of
Dartmoor National Park, with good views
of the surrounding landscape. Housing
development began in Woolwell in 1981
and there is now a population of slightly
over 3000. For an area of its size, it has a
large number of facilities, including its own
primary school, a medical centre and
several shops.
Downderry, Cornwall
Downderry is a small village in Cornwall
about 17 miles (45 minutes) from
Plymouth. It is right next to the sea and 10
minutes from Looe the nearest fishing
harbour. There is a local primary school
with less than 100 pupils and small
businesses like the Blue Plate (the local
restaurant) and The Inn on the Shore (the
local pub). Downderry is joined on to
another small village called Seaton. I live
right next to the sea and go down there in
the summer if its warm.
This is Sir Robert Geffery¡¯s Primary School and there logo, it¡¯s a C of
E school which means Church of England so it¡¯s a Christian school.
This is a small school of roughly 210 pupils at the school and the
school is the only one in the village and also has a preschool. The
school has a class of 30 pupils and starts Key Stage 1 at reception ,
year 1 and ends at year2. Then Key Stage 2 is from year 3,4,5 and
ends at year 6.
This is the footbridge next to
Landrake that people can get the
bus from.
There are 2 main churches in
Landrake as most of the village is
religious.
Millbrook is a very small little village in
Cornwall that is near Kingsand and
Cawsand.
It has 1 little
primary and
