The Institute for Self-Reliant Agriculture (SRA) was organized in Washington State, October of 2009 as a 501C3 charitable organization. SRA is a continuation of the small-scale agriculture model which was created and demonstrated in many developing nations over the past several decades, by the Ezra Taft Benson Agriculture and Food Institute at Brigham Young University. The program was established and proven under careful scientific research and application working with local universities and village farmer families in Ecuador, Bolivia, Guatemala, Mexico, Ghana, and Morocco.
