Radical improvement activist. I deeply believe that the human natural lifespan is inhumanely short (and the dangers along the way a primitive, pathetic, unacceptable gamble, a sort of 'Russian roulette'), and look forward to a technologically much more capable age in which involuntary death is rendered a true rarity. However, our situation is quite grim, given our exponentially accelerating technologies and much incoordination amongst global players. I worry about emergent global catastrophic and even extinction risks caused by the possible abuse, misuse and/or mismanagement of powerful technologies.
