I began my IT career in 1981 in New York City working as an assembler programmer on IBM mainframes and 3600/4700 banking platform equipment. Several years after that I started working on Cobol development projects and application package implementations, mostly for large companies in the NYC financial district.
By 1990, numerous exposures to Compuware products in my work experience had convinced me that Compuware offered the premium mainframe developer productivity solution and I happily joined the company.
