Dr. Hamideen started his professional career at Jamia Milia Islamia in 1968. Thereafter, he joined Delhi College (Evening) as a lecturer in 1970. He became a Reader and rose to the position of the principal, Zakir Husain P.G. Evening College in 2002.
He has conducted major research financed by I.C.S.S.R and has taught internationally. He was also given the status of "Resource Person" from India in the field of education by U.N.E.S.C.O. Dr. Hamideen has participated in multiple international conferences on education and development organized by U.N.E.S.C.O. in China and Thailand.
