Myself, SK Prasad, completed my class Xth from Mahavir Singh Inter College,Badilpur, Haldi, Ballia in 1966, class XII from Kunwar Singh Inter College Ballia in 1968,B.Sc. from S.C.College Ballia in 1970 and M.Sc.Physics from Gorakhpur university in 1972.I was a research scholar in Astophysics for 1972-73 but had to leave it and I joined DRDO Hyderabad in April 1973.There I continued till 1977 and in June 1977,I joined IMD at Mumbai as Assistant Meteorologist.I served at RMC Mumbai during 73-84, at FMO Jalpauguri in 84-89, at MC Patna in 89 -92 and finally at O/O DDGM(WF) during 92-2010.I retired on 30th Sept 2010 from Central Training Instt Pashan, Pune as Dy Director General of Meteorology
