120 years before, Seth Nandlalji had an existing jewellery business, went to Basara and imported pearls from there. His knowledge and prowess in pearls made him hands on winner. In 1881, he started textiles business with his brother Seth Rameshwar Dasji and specialised in the sale of rich textiles. His son Seth Jaykarandasji was appointed as a textile distributor from 1939-45 by His Excellency ‘The Nizam’ for the entire Nizam state and was rewarded for his successful services. During his service, he dealt in import of fabrics in wholesale and stamped them before delivery.
