  • #3: ATS App. Prog. ABAP Programming Module Presentations Welcome the participants to the course. During this three-week course we will teach you how to use the SAP programming language called Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP). We will discuss ABAP report development, conversion and interface development, and performance. We will also become familiar with the Workbench Organizer and Transport System and object-oriented concepts in SAP.
  • #4: ATS App. Prog. ABAP Programming Module Presentations Faculty introduces his/her self, answering the questions listed. Then participants introduce themselves to the group. Ask them to share any experience they have with SAP or programming.
  • #5: ATS App. Prog. ABAP Programming Module Presentations This course falls into the Application Delivery section of the Solutions Workforce Curriculum. It is a required course for programmers and junior software (SWF) engineers. The SWF Curriculum was launched in March of 2005. It is divided into three areas: Application Delivery The Team Lead School falls under Application delivery, as do courses about application programming, testing, and design. Professional development Includes courses related to time management, presentation, and instruction skills. Technology specialty Covers specific, service line training (Java/J2EE, Netscape, etc.)
  • #6: The Introduction to the SAP Environment unit will provide an overview of ABAP development components, Accentures methodology, the SAP R/3 BASIS System, the ABAP Dictionary and the ABAP development environment. The ABAP Report Development unit will introduce the key ABAP concepts, the ABAP language syntax and the Structured Query Language (SQL) required to write ABAP report programs. The ABAP Conversion and Interface Development unit will introduce background processing, sequential files and SAP Interface techniques, with a particular focus on the BDC (Batch Data Communication) method of interfacing. Other interface methods, such as Idocs and BAPIs, will also be discussed. An overview of interface architecture will also be provided. The ABAP Performance unit will introduce guidelines for writing high performing code. Techniques and tools for analyzing code in order to identify potential performance problems will also be discussed. The Workbench Organizer and Transport System unit will introduce key concepts important to the ABAP programmer. The Object Oriented Concepts in SAP unit will provide an overview of SAPs object-oriented ABAP language enhancements for SAP R/3 4.0 and an overview of SAP business objects. The ABAP Development Process unit will present an overview of the Global Delivery Network, define roles and responsibilities and discuss the Accenture Delivery Methods (ADM). It will also present information on the solution delivery process and the Component Test Plan (CTP). The Case Study unit will provide hands-on experience using the newly acquired ABAP skills.

  • #8: ATS App. Prog. ABAP Programming Module Presentations Discussing List of Ground Rules Be sure to inquire whether the ground rules are agreeable. Ask for additional ground rules from the participants. When somebody proposes a ground rule, ask the other participants if they agree to it. If most do, add it to the list.
