VIOLENT STATUS DRUG THEFT
Career day held for students
By KJ HIRAMOTO

MAIDEN It may feel early for
some, but Maiden Middle School
teacher Brenda McCoy believes
that it will prove to be helpful
for her students to explore their
career options as early as the
seventh grade.
Its typical for middle school-
age thinking to just focus on here
and now, McCoy said. But with
(the career fair) today, they can
have a grand vision and be able
to set goals.
McCoys seventh grade sci-
ence class hosted Rob McCoy, an
electrical engineer for Daimler
Trucks North America who also
happens to be Brendas hus-
band, and Robert Deal, truck
driver for Cargo Transporter, for
the schools career day. Maiden
Principal Brian Hefner said each
teacher and faculty member was
assigned to find someone with
a profession they knew to come
speak to the class. From K-9
trainers, to NFL Agent to nuclear
engineers, Maiden hosted about
30 guests Friday.
Rob McCoy said it was fun
