Rajiv Tambe has worked extensively for children for many years as a writer, teacher, and consultant for organizations like UNICEF. He has traveled throughout Maharashtra visiting schools in remote areas and helping teachers and students using innovative, experience-based teaching methods. Tambe has authored over 69 books and publications on topics related to children's education and development. He has received many national and state awards for his contributions to children's literature in India.

RAJIV TAMBE Rajiv Tambe has been consistently working for children, Writing for them, teaching them using innovative methods, coaching and training teachers, meeting and counseling parents. While working for some NGOs and for UNICEF and as a free lance journalist, he has traveled extensively visiting schools, helping teachers and students, in the most remote parts and tribal areas of the state of Maharashtra, including areas that are not accessible by usual road transport.
2 His methods are unique and innovative, all resulting out of his rich and varied experience, rather than bookish and pedantic theories.
