Lesson-02
HOW CAN I PRACTICALLY LEAD A KRISHNA CONSCIOUS
LIFE IN TODAYS SITUATION?
We should act like a cashier. A cashier handlesmillions
of dollarsand takes all responsibility for protectingthe
money but at the same time he is not attached to the
money, because he knows very well that he is not the
owner of money. Yet he is not neglectful in taking care of
money. With same attitudeone should do his prescribed
duty as a custodian takes care of the property.
We should take care of our personal needs, household
duties and family responsibilities nicely, but our ultimate
aim is to please Krishna and serve Krishna. How can this
be done?Just like a businessman. A businessman is
traveling in his car to reach a business meeting. He has to
know how much fuel there is in the car. He must take care
2. of the car and look after cars maintenance so that it
works smoothly. But his ultimate interest is not in the car
but rather in the meeting. Even while sitting on back seat
of his car, he is thinking of his business and he is busy
making calls to his business partnersand preparing
presentationon his laptop. Similarly, every one of us
should fulfill our different responsibilities just as one has
to maintain his car, but our ultimate interest must be in
Krishna. We must be in connectionwith Krishnas
devotees and we should be preparing ourselves spiritually.
