This document discusses research and proposed solutions for improving the New York City subway system. It notes that overcrowding, fare increases, and lack of Wi-Fi are issues. Research found little subway station access to Wi-Fi or cell service in Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx. The goal is to encourage proper trash disposal to prevent delays from track fires and flooding. A proposed solution is to create appealing trash cans in the subway to make disposal the default option.

Proposed Design Solution
Create a series of trash cans that could be implemented in
the subway system making it the desirable way to dispose
of trash and waste.
