This document provides information about diagnosing issues with Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) on various Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles from 1996-2002. It includes a chart detailing the different PATS system types used in vehicles, diagnostic procedures for each type, and a key to order replacement keys from Rotunda. The diagnostic procedures indicate how to check for faults using the appropriate PATS module and what to look for from the theft indicator light during testing.

(PATS/HEC/VIC/ICM/SCIL) AND FOLLOW THOSE INDICATOR AND DTC P1260 IS NOT STORED IN
PINPOINT PROCEDURES BEFORE ANY THE PCM, THEN THE VEHICLE HAS A
FURTHER PCM DIAGNOSIS. NON-PATS RELATED ISSUE PREVENTING THE
