This document outlines many types of land disputes that occur in India, including disputes among family members over oral or written partitions; disputes over title deeds, boundaries, and possession; claims of easements or rights of way; illegal or improper land transfers; disputes resulting from partition suits or acquisition; and disputes involving unpaid taxes, mortgages, partnerships, or forged documents. Resolving these various types of disputes over ownership and rights to land is an ongoing challenge in India.
