ing Microsoft's search engine is a great ad free tool that we can use in our classrooms. Our district has subscribed to Bing and that is our homepage for our labs and student machines.
The Ad free search offers advertising removed, filtered content, and enhanced privacy like the tracking that Google does when ads pop up from things that you have put in your email.
You can earn free Surfaces for your campuses. Bing provides reward points for every search that you do. It keeps track of those points. Therefore, parents, teachers and students can earn points that will go to the campus similar to Book __? Our schools are signed up and ready to go. You will need to get the word out to your campus. When I spoke with one of the creators of Bing, he guesstimated around 2 months of consistent Bing use from parents and it should be enough for a device.
Bing in classroom provides daily digital citizenship lessons. I have downloaded the Bing Desktop which provides a new picture every day. These could be used as Bell Ringers for classrooms or create full lessons that inspire curiosity and creativity with the web search.

From the explanation of OneNote, how do you feel OneNote could be used in the classroom? I feel OneNote is one of the most powerful tools for the classroom today. It provides teachers and students the ability to collaborate share and provide feedback on work. The OneNote Classroom Creator has made OneNote even better. The Creator tool is part of Office 365 and allows the teacher to create Notebooks for each class, period or subject area. The Notebook allows for 3 parts. The first one is a collaborative space the students can work together in groups. The content library allows a section for the teacher to put any kind of document, text picture, audio video. This allows the students to have access but not be able to edit or delete. It also provides a place for teachers to safely share documents and textbook information with students digitally but not on the website. It is protected and shared only with students. The last section provides a notebook shared only with the teacher and student. Therefore students can turn in assignments like a drop box but not see others assignments. It gives a place for the teacher to give feedback. It also provides a place for the teacher to differentiate assignments without it being visible to all students. So, Assignments or activities can be personalized and would not obvious to other members of the class allowing for differentiation.
Having their own notebook with the teacher allows them to be able to respond via an audio recording or video. Think of an English teacher looking at a students essay. Instead of writing various comments on the paper why not record the teachers thoughts as he grades. Therefore, the student receives the intent the teacher was trying to convey. Think of the time it will save for the student to get feedback quickly. Now I would like to show you a few examples.
Or, how about a Science teacher and students can use the audio record feature to explain a process. Teachers can quickly identify any issues with the use of an audio.
