This document summarizes a capacity strengthening webinar on small area estimation (SAE). It notes increased demand for disaggregated data to monitor development goals like the SDGs. SAE allows generating indicators at low administrative levels by combining census and survey data. The webinar aims to introduce SAE methodology, create champions for its use in Pakistan, and promote SAE to monitor development indicators, especially those related to sexual and reproductive health. It will include technical presentations using Nepal as a case study, with questions and answers, but no hands-on sessions.
