This document summarizes the results of a 2008 quantitative survey of over 140 company officials who actively use online communities. The survey aimed to understand how companies are using online communities and social networks to drive transformational change. Key findings include that companies are using communities both to get work done through collaboration and knowledge sharing, as well as to strengthen internal communication and relationships among employees.
