Nasal vowels are identified by a tilde (~) or being followed by n or m at the end of a word or syllable, such as in m?o, lim?o, and manh?. Pronouncing nasal vowels requires practice but is less difficult than it sounds.

English has become the international language, with 18% of the world's population understanding or speaking it. Learning English provides access to most of the world's information and knowledge, gives career opportunities both locally and globally, and allows one to do business in the global market. With over a billion English speakers worldwide and most internet content in English, learning the language offers a larger audience to share ideas with and more entertainment options through books, TV, radio, and websites. While talent is important, not knowing English could make one second to less capable superiors; therefore, it is advised that one learns English.

This document contains an analysis of an interview conducted with a 10-year-old English language learner from Chile. The interview aimed to identify the learner's strengths and weaknesses in phonetic pronunciation, grammar usage, and comprehension. The analysis found some mispronunciations of words related to phonetic rules. It also observed that while the learner was generally able to communicate effectively, she occasionally showed hesitation, especially when pronouncing unknown words. The analysis focused on comparing the learner's pronunciation to Received Pronunciation standards and identifying opportunities to improve her English skills.
