An artefact is an object modified by humans for a specific purpose, such as props, costumes, or objects that tell a story. Artefacts can be traditional objects from the past made by hand, like tribal masks or cave paintings, or modern objects made by machines, like manufactured vases or photography. 3. Where would I use an artefact? I would use an artefact as a prop in a play. For example a shield for a knight in a performance for a play or a dance . Or some thing from the past such as a tribal object like a mask as a display at a exhibited at a gallery for public viewing.
