5 Home Automation Devices
You Didn’t Know Existed
Presented by
Hiku Labs
This little gadget lets you make your grocery list building a
little less painful. It’s hard to breakaway from the old
fashioned pen and paper method, but if there is a new device
that could do it, it would be this one. It uses voice recognition
and barcode scanning to help you
build your lists. The lists can sync
to your phone so you don’t have
to worry about leaving your list
at home – as long as you have
your phone of course.
Cook Faucet
This invention makes measuring water easy. With
the touch of a button, your faucet will give you
the exact measurement of water that you need
for your recipe. It is broken up into four sections:
100 ml, 500 ml, 1L, and normal. It uses the
metric system, but it is still pretty amazing. If you
don’t want it to automatically measure out the
exact amount of water, you can just press the
normal button and it will work like one of those
old fashioned faucets your neighbors have.
PureFresh Toilet Seat
Have you ever gone into a bathroom after someone just used it
and it smells horrible? Yeah, gross. Well this new toilet seat is
trying to solve the universal problem of stinky toilets. The toilet
seat can neutralize odors for up
to six months. It also has a LED
light so you can save your eyes
during your mid-night bathroom
run. Light-up toilet seat that
takes the stinky smell away? Sign
us up!
iRobot Roomba 790
Roombas have been around for a longtime. Each year they are
getting smarter and more productive. While some people may
complain that they promote laziness or are just a way to
torment your pets, they are a quick and
easy way to keep your floors looking
clean. You can program them to work
when you’re not home or drive them
like a remote-control car to clean your
floors. It’s up to you!
Egg Minder
It’s always hard to remember how many eggs you have when
you’re at the store. Was it 5? Maybe 8? Nope, you had 2. Now
you can’t make French toast tonight. The
Egg Minder is an electronic tray that
connects to your phone and tells you how
many eggs are left in your fridge and how
old they are. Now you’ll never have to
worry about if you have eggs back home,
how many you have, and if they’re still
fresh. Now if only there was something for
milk!
