1. 50 years Ago, Martin Luther King, Jr., stood in front of the
Lincoln Memorial and shared his dream for the future.
Today We celebrate how far we have come in the search for
justice in our country and our world.
We acknowledge that we still have far to go.
Many human beings are still being held in slavery and
suffering under the crushing weight of violent
oppression.
As we remember the words spoken in front of the
Lincoln Memorial 50 years ago, let us join together in
renewed strength and commitment, and boldly
continue to actively seek justice and freedom for ALL.
