Jesus tells his disciples that he is the true vine and God is the vinedresser. Branches that remain connected to the vine will bear much fruit, but branches that do not remain connected will wither and be burned. Jesus calls his disciples to remain connected to him through faith so that they may bear fruit and bring glory to God through their love for one another.
