I am the vine you are the branches, remain in Me!
Remain in Me as I remain in you says the Lord; whoever remains in Me will bear much fruit! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
A reading from the Gospel of St. John (Chapter 15: 1-8)
Jesus said to His disciples:
I am the True Vine and My Father is the Vindresser.
Every branch in Me that bears no fruit He cuts away
and every branch that does bear fruit He prunes so that it may bear even more fruit!
You are already pruned by the word I have spoken to you!
Remain in Me as I remain in you!
Just as a branch cannot bear fruit on its own unless it remains on the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in Me.
I am the Vine, you are the branches.
Whoever remains in Me, with Me in him, bears much fruit
but apart from Me you can do nothing!
Anyone who does not remain in Me is like a branch that has been thrown away; he withers. These branches are collected and thrown into the fire and burnt.
If you remain in Me and My words in you, you may ask whatever you want and it will be given to you.
By this is My Father glorified: that you bear much fruit and become My disciples. the fruit: our love for each other!
